Privacy
Effective 1 October 2026
This page explains what Kealink collects, why, where it is kept, and what you can ask us to do with it. We follow the Privacy Act 2020 (New Zealand).
1. Who we are
Kealink is run jointly by Kaynan Fusion Ltd and Salix Limited, both New Zealand companies. When these pages say "we" or "us", they mean both companies.
You can reach us at info@salixtech.co.nz or sales@kaynanfusion.com.
2. Machine data
Kealink stores the readings a customer's machines send it, such as temperatures, pressures and counts, with the time of each reading, and the alerts those readings raise. Machine readings are not usually about people.
Machine data belongs to the customer. We use it only to run that customer's portal and alerts, and to keep the service working. We do not sell it or share it with anyone else.
Readings are kept for as long as the customer uses Kealink. When a customer leaves, we give them a copy on request and then delete their data.
3. People who sign in
For each person with a portal account we keep their email address, their role, whether they receive alert emails, a scrambled form of their password if they set one, and when they last signed in. The customer's administrator decides who has an account.
Signing in sets one cookie that keeps you signed in. It holds nothing but a signed reference to your account. Platform administrators also get a cookie that remembers which company they are viewing.
4. This website
If you use the form on this page, we receive your name, email address, and anything else you choose to give: your company, phone number, number of machines and your message. It is emailed to both companies. We use it only to reply to you about Kealink, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
The public pages of this website set no cookies and use no analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, time and page requested, for security and troubleshooting.
5. Who handles data for us
We use a few providers to run Kealink. They handle data only to provide their service to us:
- Railway: hosting for the portal, the database and the connection point for machines, in Singapore.
- Resend: delivery of emails, such as sign-in links, alerts and messages from this website's form.
If a customer sets up a Slack channel or another webhook for alerts, alert details are also sent there, at the customer's instruction.
6. Keeping it safe
Connections to the portal and from machines are encrypted. Each machine has its own password and can only send data as itself. Passwords are stored scrambled, never as typed. The database is backed up every day.
7. Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. Email info@salixtech.co.nz and we will reply within 20 working days.
If you are not happy with how we handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at www.privacy.org.nz.
8. Changes
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date at the top, and tell customers directly when a change affects them.
